🌺 Botanicals We Avoid (and Why)

Because safety and quality come first.

Some dried flowers may look beautiful when dry but behave poorly in bathwater. We avoid botanicals that can:

✘ Stain the tub or skin
✘ Leave sticky or slimy residue
✘ Cause irritation or allergic reactions
✘ Turn brown or unpleasant in water
✘ Mold easily inside bath salt jars

Botanicals we avoid include:

  • Peony buds
  • Lily flowers
  • Gomphrena (Globe Amaranth)
  • Forget-Me-Nots
  • Dianthus leaves
  • Five Flower blend
  • Lotus plumule (petals are acceptable, plumule is not)
  • Strawflower (Helichrysum bracteatum)
  • Hibiscus (roselle) except in very tiny, disclosed amounts
  • Stevia leaf
  • Any botanicals not verified as cosmetic-safe

🌱 Our Promise

Every botanical used in The Fragrant Nook bath salts is:

✔ Carefully selected for safety
✔ Cosmetic-grade & bath-approved
✔ Stored properly for freshness and quality
✔ Used thoughtfully and intentionally

We believe in transparency—and in protecting your skin, your experience, and your bathtub. We never add botanicals simply for “looks.” Each ingredient is chosen to enhance your bath ritual safely and naturally.
